# Spin Cube

![Spin Cube icon](pwa-192x192.png)

An endless 3D spiral of wooden cubes. Each small cube rises from a larger block with matching wood and grain direction, rolls three full turns across the wood, pauses over an opening and drops onto a slightly lower step. The camera continually revolves and zooms inward. The farther starting points keep the rise outside the usual 16:9 view, so cubes roll into the scene.

Four drops form a relaxed twenty-four-second motion loop, with a new drop every six seconds. Cubes tip around each step edge before continuing along the lower surface. Each cube keeps its inherited wood as it rolls and lands; the complete wood pattern repeats over two minutes.

Inspired by the supplied **Satisfying Dice Roll and Drop Perfect Loop** video, with plain oak, walnut, maple and cherry cubes using Ruby Cube's wood textures.

## Watch

Open **Spin Cube** from the remote controller's **Visuals** section, or [open the display](/spin-cube/). Playback starts automatically. There are no players or playback controls, and the animation is silent.

Move the pointer, touch the screen or press a key to reveal the fullscreen button and rendering status. They fade after three idle seconds. The animation fills landscape and portrait screens.

Scan the QR code at the bottom right to open the app launcher in the same room. Choose another app there to change the display. Spin Cube has no separate phone controller; each screen plays its own loop.

## Picture quality

Use a browser with hardware-accelerated WebGL. WebGL 1 browsers use a compatible renderer with the same wood textures, bevels, lighting and projected shadows. Devices missing required graphics features show a warning while the room QR panel remains available. Recognised TV browsers use a 720p pixel budget and a 30 fps target. Other browsers adjust resolution when needed. Add `&quality=low` to a room URL for a smaller rendering budget, or `&quality=high` for the highest budget and sharper wood filtering. These options keep the same animation and room connection.
